The developed floorpan above is based around a 30ft x 10ft instead on the 40ft x 8ft container previously designed around. This has been changed relative to the average land space which the average household owner has available. Most households do not have a 40ft space available in their surrounding land space. The space reduction would then be rearranged to include more of an open plan living space, with a bathroom and shower located separately.
The floorpan has also been developed to have more depth, showing the space which the walls and windows would consist of.
The developed aesthetics of the property have been informed by the insulation and cladding techniques discussed in the blog post OUGD503 - Inclusive Living - Kingspan & Insulation Research
Finally, a site plan has been developed to put the floorpan into more context of how the outhouse would sit within a community.
