OUGD504 - Studio Brief 1 - Thread Experimentation

After experimenting with the grey thread in the mock up book, it was noticed that due to the amount of stitching in the binding process, a thinner thread could be used whilst still keeping the strength and durability of the bind. This resulted in being able to use thinner needles during the binding process which made each thread hole smaller and therefore more sturdy. Two new, thinner threads were purchased and trailed in the bind however, the decision to use white thread was made after staff feedback which suggested that the florissant yellow thread could distract the viewer and take away from the pristine minimalist clarity of each pages layout.
