Further laser cutter designs had to be produced after researching into Jan Tschicholds philosophy of always needing some kind of signifier on the spine of the book to help with noticeability when stacked or on a shelf. Due to this, another laser cutter slot was booked in order to print new typography designs which resinate with the previous type used on the front of the book. This type will also be made into a stamp and printed on the spine of the book.
After producing some experiment print, I noticed that during the laser cutter process, I forgot to reflect the type on the stamp which resulted in backwards printing. Another visit to the laser cutter was needed during the drop in time to resolve this issue and create another stamp. During this second visit, the electric circular saw was also used to create wood block backings for the stamps, these stamps were later placed in a vice with glue to set.
