OUGD504 - Studio Brief 2 - Sat Nav Initial Concept

Hearing about BMWs new interface which allows text message notifications from one of the tutors has inspired the concept of creating 'Fuse', a Sat Nav which attempts to make the driving process as safe as possible. All of the components of a sat nav is integrated into the screen and mirrors which allows the driver to keep their eyes on the road at all times. The screen could be built into the glass or could be made into a Transparent Sticker for the inside of the windscreen.

This concept has to adapt Minimalist augmented reality design in order to make the interface not too distracting. It also has to utilise the latest technology of glass digital screens.

Another route that this concept could be applied to is a virtual reality similar to that of the google glass.

The screen could also be adapted into the visor of a helmet which is sold separately so that it can be clipped into pre existing bikers helmets. Voice tracking technology could be integrated into the helmet to be used as controls when changing the destination
