OUGD504 - Studio Brief 2 - Researching Existing Website Platforms Used For Estate Agents

Some current estate agent interfaces have been researched and displayed below, identifying their problems and attempting to create a solution in my own application is crucial to solving the current issues of the property market.

Ryder & Dutton is a website which is visually outdated and unnecessarily complicated. The stroke lines around the buttons make the design aesthetically unprofessional, I believe the website attempts to produce a minimalist design however, has been too simple with the design and therefore has resulted in a 'rushed' look.

The map view hidden at the bottom of the page only shows one house location at a time making it a gruelling process having to return to the home page every time the user wants to find the location of another house.

The right move website offers a lot more to the consumer and will be seen as the prime competitor for this project.

This website offers a similar concept to my initial thoughts where it displays all of the houses available within an area in a clear and concise way. There must be a distinct difference between this concept and my own project to persuade the consumer to use my software above Rightmoves established brand.

Their student section is also similar to my feedback from the first critique session however, there are many faults with this section of their website and many areas which it could be drastically improved and more directed for students.
