OUGD505 - Studio Brief 2 - Wax Character Concept

After considering a variety of distinct packaging options, I feel as though I have decided on a final concept. Looking back at the research conducted in the blog post OUGD505 - Studio Brief 2 - Biodegradable wax research, this has informed the concept of utilising the same biodegradable food wax for the packaging of my fruit brand. This would be harnessed by purchasing fruit with skin on, and dipping half of the fruit in the melted wax, as the wax hardens, I could then place eyes and mouths on the wax which have been printed on sugar paper. This would turn the pieces of fruit into characters themselves instead of just designing characters on the packaging of the fruit. It would also create no waste product as the wax and sugar paper would break down just as fast as the fruit skin.
