OUGD505 - Studio Brief 2 - Primary Packaging Research

I visited stores to research first hand the advertising campaigns within the junk food industry, one in particular was 'Kinder' this company places small toys within their chocolate to entice young children to purchase their product.

Mostly, the fast food ad campaigns utilised techniques such as personification, celebrity endorsements and brand mascots in an attempt to lure youth to their products. A parodic imitation of this could be an interesting graphic response to the brief.

In comparison, healthy food and drink products had little to no packaging, with some of the fruit having just stickers to represent their brand. The water companies also held no significance within their colour scheme or identity and was clearly aimed towards the older generation with serif typefaces and organised compositions.
