OUGD505 - Studio Brief 2 - Mr Men Research

To determine what creates an engaging character for children, it was deemed important to study successful children books and TV shows. One of the main books which were studied was the Mr Men. This classic set of illustrations have become timeless and have ran throughout many different medias over the years, Their simplistic illustrations are engaging for children without being too complex and complicated. The distinct bright block colours and simplistic small dot eyes and features make it easy for children to understand. This style of illustration would be a good aspect to take influence from in my own designs and sketches.

Placing the characters in a colourful scene could also be a good way to showcase them to the public.
