OUGD505 - Studio Brief 1 - Past Event Research

When researching past events, I found the task quite challenging as most of the event information before the last few years have been taken down from the internet. To find an event truly bespoke which will attract older members of the public to the exhibition I must dive deep into online forums and even printed research from libraries.

The events which I have uncovered so far are as follows -

• Love Parade July 2000 - Roundhay Park
• Cocoon in the Park - Temple Newham Park
• Made in Leeds Festival - The Tetley
• The First Leeds Festival 1999 - Bramham Park
• OnRoundhay Festival 2006 & 2016 - Roundhay Park
• Blackburn raves, Lancashire, 1988-90
• 2001: Nelson Mandela addresses the people of Leeds on stage at Millennium Square

By designing for an event which is far in the past, I can draw on past styles to experiment with old printing techniques.
