OUGD503 - Inclusive Living - Fraser Reekie Architectural Drawings Book Research

In order to give me a better understanding of how to draw and design architecturally, I purchased a copy of Fraser Reekie's book ' Architectural Drawing'. This book consists of timeless architectural and perspective drawing and techniques which are timeless and still just as relevant today as to when the book was originally published.

Some vital information gathered was that every object has a density, the walls, cavities and doorways are all accounted for. My initial designs were drawn using simple lines for the walls however, after gaining this knowledge, my initial floorplan drawings were altered to cover a 3 dimensional space with windows and door cavities included.

Other tips helped with perspective drawing and utilising tracing paper within the sketching stages.
