Visiting the Computer Resource team has really helped with the set up and page pagination of the project. They have explained print pricing with page size and the revealed the most cost efficient option for the project. All of these factors have to be taken into consideration when thinking about mass producing the book for commercial purposes. The original page size was 300mm by 300mm, this page size would require printing on A2 paper which would dramatically increase production costs. Therefore my page size was reduced to 210mm by 210mm which is the maximum page dimensions for a square publication printing onto A3 paper. Due to extra slug and bleed dimensions being taken into consideration, this would require printing on SRA3 paper. This stock size adds a slight bit extra to A3 paper which allows for printing slug and bleed lines.
The project has been set out with 64 pages which will then be split into sections of 4 to be individually stitched and then glued to a hard back cover. This will require 16 pieces of SRA3 paper on a thick white stock, conversations with the digital print team will need to take place in order to identify the appropriate stock choice and weight.
