OUGD603 - Brief 1 - Waveform Song Lyrics Primary Research

Whilst at a friends house I noticed this framed waveform on her shelf, this method showcases the direct relationship between a piece of music and its visualised waveform alter-ego. This method is a literal visual response to the lyrics of a song but shows how voices can be represented physically without the need for written language. The waveform also contains more detail and emotion than written language if the encrypted message is converted back into an audio file.

This method of retaining emotion and sounds within a written language may be an interesting aspect to look at for this brief. One of the main consideration criteria for this brief is to look at how emotion within audio can be represented visually so this could be a really interesting area to analyse further.
