I found these birds eye view studio photographs of food and drugs very appealing and consistent. The orange slices below also reminded me of a pie diagram, I then started to think about other ways which I could represent statistics using elements from drugs. I also believe that text would create a fitting relationship when overlayed with the images.
A concept which came to mind straight away was possibly using a similar layout as the board game operation in order to represent the different organs which drugs effect with descriptions labeled to the side. By not using disturbing photography, it can make the image more approachable and readable by all ages.
The image below is also an interesting realistic variation of the operation board game concept.
The use of embossing and screen printing also intrigues me as I am really interested in progressing in as many different skill sets as possible. The flyer below is a great example of how shape and embossing can create the whole layout. If I don't get to use these techniques in this project then I definitely want to learn them and start utilising the colleges facilities in the near future.
Below there are some drug related posters, leaflets, photography and publications which could help influence and inform my idea development. Some of the double meaning photography can have some impactful implications on the viewer without showing anything too gruesome.
These brightly coloured leaflets bestow a trippy effect which can be very engagoing with the viewer and make the leaflet stand out amongst the rest.
This is another posibility to add as well as editing the text for an awkward read. By creating inconsistant text, i could represent the view of someone on acid and represent it as uncomfortable.
I have also collected some secondary source quantative research which may help me in deciding on the contents of my leaflet. The layout of these statistics is also something to take into consideration.
