OUGD405 - Studio Brief 1 - Wayfinding (Continued)

The concept above shows how the colour scheme of the shop would look on the mens floor. This would correspond throughout the other two floors of the shop with the other related colours. I have also added a glow and a light fitting to the concept below to represent blue lighting around the outskirts of the store.

The two below are examples of the colour scheme of the Womens and Changing Room floor.

I wanted to push this concept further than just the physical so started to think about ways which it could be related onto multiple platforms by possibly creating an app to direct you to the stores. The app would include a map of all of the stores and an map of the inside of each store which corresponds to the lines the ground of each floor. The app would also tell you what clothes are in stock from the website and where it is located in the store.

The designs above are variations of the app cover, I have put them into context below and found that the largest tear drop pin shape works best due to the small scale of the app on screen.

The concept below would be the home screen of the app where you could proceed onto the store map using the button icons.

A postcode, address and floor number would then need to be inputted into the system

When taken to this menu, you would be able to scroll through the list of clothes available online to see if the clothes were available in your store. If they were available, the app would show you the location of the item in relation to the coloured lines on the floor of each store.

The painted floor concept is below.
