The social media sites were and important aspect to consider when advertising to a young audience, studies have shown that this is the main way in which students now search for events in their local area. Even though it did not fit in with our 80's-90's event theme, it was crucial to advertise through this platform as technology has progressed. We did however attempt to portray a 'VHS' effect on our online content to signify an older generation of technology.
The ambidextrous poster design allowed for it to be used vertically or horizontally to fit as a header image for the event page, this was important to keep consistency through our online content, and our printed material seen around the city. This connection would help to give the event a fluid balance between manual and screen based design.
Having an online event page and platform also led onto some huge publicity from creative individual and DJs within the music industry with Posthuman and Jon Da Silva sharing our content on multiple occasions.
