Walking around Leeds, I stumbled upon this industrial environment and old worn out signage. To the untrained eye this might appear to be old red faded typography and a cheap alternative to a sign by hand painting the numbers '76' onto the wall however, I feel that this shabby urban aesthetic has similar connotations to what might have inspired the interior design of the store 'Urban Outfitters'. Whereas some people might see this as scruffy and cheap, I believe that in the right environment, this quick hand lettering style could be utilised into an edgy clothes store as a really interesting piece of typography signage. I also found the white brickwork an unusual surface to paint on however, with the faded apparel, I find it quite inspirational as it could possibly be integrated into my wayfinding designs
