OUGD603 - Brief 6 - Event Concept & Manifesto

Being heavily influenced by the foreign typography and nightlife from the Berlin trip, I have decided to adapt the brief to fit within the Berlin Techno Scene. This will also direct the brief more towards my own personal influences and cater my final outcomes to be more fitting with studios who design for the music industries.

I have decided to come up with my own conceptual event as I can apply more creative flexibility and a bespoke artistic style rather than stylise my designs to a pre-existing company or venue.

Manifesto -

Fahrenheit 37 is a Berlin based underground music movement which draws on the dark, unfiltered and gothic nightlife of German rave culture. Highly specialising in heavy techno music, the events will be hosted in a variety of different unorthodox and underground venues around the centre of Berlin. These will range from; unused underground railway stations, abandoned power plants, and industrial multi story car parks. 37 of these events will be hosted between 14th October - 1st January each year to increase rarity and customer demand. Hosting events close to the winter solstice will also be crucial to the aesthetic of the event, as the days will have the shortest period of daylight and nights will be the longest.
