OUGD505 - Studio Brief 2 - Eco Friendly Printing Techniques

There are certain methods of branding and packaging which is not harmful to the environment, these include but are not limited to;

• Offset Printing
• Spot Colour Printing
• Digital Printing
• Moulds
• Embossing & Debossing
• Renewable Inks

These methods are better for the environment by either using renewable and sustainable materials and inks, or by using low amounts of power within their production process.

A mould or embossing is an interesting technique which could be utilised, by moulding the branding into the packaging design, no inks need to be used therefore making the product better for the environment. Dove apply a similar process to their own products.
