The focus behind the collage was to shine a light on the way which politicians are treated in modern society. They are now photographed and viewed as celebrities within the media, this ideology stems back from Princess Diana who was viewed as a similar model icon. Therefore, the piece has been recontextualised to resemble the aesthetics of a fashion magazine. Typography has been rearranged around the edges of the central imagery in order to represent the composition of modern magazines.
The piece can be viewed quite humorous whilst also surfacing some concerning points about the state of our current governing bodies and their strong media presence within society. The role which they now play within society has become increasingly publicised in recent years which questions if their campaigns are now more glamorous and celebrity orientated rather than the representation of the issues on their agenda.
