OUGD504 - Studio Brief 2 - Sound Effects

Reflecting back on the talk from Only Studio in the blog OUGD504 - Studio Brief 2 - Only Studio Talk, I wanted to further convey emotions within the app in an attempt to boost its user friendliness. At the moment, the app feels quite stagnated by only utilising one of the users five senses, therefore it can sometimes lack in engagement with the audience. Simple sound effects could help to reach out to users other senses and further create depth within the app. Experimentation is still being undertaken on how sound effects can be represented within the app although, a conclusion should be reached soon.

After much research and consideration into sound effects, I managed to find a few licence free 'Whoosh' sounds online for the opening video however, there were no free sound effects which represented the ubiquitous simplicity of the app. Therefore, multiple voice recordings were taken of me producing a clicking sound within my throat, this was then edited and imported into After Effects where it was used within the application.
