OUGD504 - Studio Brief 2 - Initial Digital Designs

Taking inspiration from social media app layout and pictograms, the design has intentions of being highly visual with limited type to give the layout as much of a user friendly interface as possible. This will hopefully reach out to all age and gender demographics and be bilingual to all languages by successfully utilising visual communication.

The app designs have all referred back to production decision choices on the blog OUGD504 - Studio Brief 2 - Production Decisions specifically, the trying to integrate aspects of visual hierarchy. Visual hierarchy entails arranging and organising website elements so that visitors naturally gravitate toward the most important elements first. Within the application, a large red square is used as a clear order which draws the viewers focus onto the most important buttons or areas.

The grey grey colour scheme was also incorporated in order to utilise the application of greyscale imagery. These files are drastically smaller than colour files and therefore will decrease the amount of wait time for the app to open.
