Thinking about different ways to represent music without using text started off quite difficult therefore, I decided to leave the work to relax for a while. After I hit a creative block on my idea generation for my project I moved onto my DJ software and tried to not think about my project, this is a idea generation technique which was explained in a podcast on how to get inspired. This podcast can be found in my PPP blog
OUGD402 - What Inspires You? - Podcast. It was on my DJ software however, that I noticed that it represents music as a sound wave.
I then came across the concept of using sound waves to represent each of the 7 songs. This concept should not take too long to produce however, by doing this, I could create a consistency in each of the 7 album covers and possibly submit them as a collection.
Other ways to expand upon this concept would be to add colours to each of the sound waves which represent the mood and emotions of the song much like the one I have created below. This would give the viewer some indication on which cover to choose rather than it being purely an uninformed guess. For example, for the song S799 / Chvrches - Clearest Blue, I could use very light clear blues for the colour scheme.
The sounwave above was created on the website Soundviz
