This photographer uses many techniques but the ones which caught my eye were the ones which used duplicated images of different colours. He has almost pushed the boundarys of the 3D effect to create a completely new style of photography. In some of his images he also flips his shot however using the same 3D style which is another sureal variation on his work. The distortion which this effect creates can produce a dream like state.
Jonathan Budenz
Jonathan Budenz is a surrealist graphic designer / photographer who mainly focuses on the human body. He merges photographs with his graphical illustration in order to get some unusual results which I find very interesting.
These images are taken from the photoshoot ’IN THE BETWEEN 1.0’ where he has focused mainly on the female body. He does not show the female head in any of the images which draws the viewer to purely look at the shape and curves of the female body. He also has worked in high contrast Black & White with a solid black background. He has used various shapes and the pen and path tool to create interesting abstract shapes which merge with the curves of the body. Without the graphical elements, the images would look regular and old fashioned but by bringing in the cubism element, the artist has managed to create very postmodern unique pieces of art.
Dan Mountford
The artist Dan Mountford uses layer blending techniques to create interest in his work. The way that he has blended images from the studio with images from outside and architecture has really interested me as i could blend two separate photoshoots to get a similar effect. His square style really helps to visualise outcomes of a vinyl album cover.
